I have the star nail lamp and use opi gel color (axxium will not cure with LED). the trouble i'm having is it not completely curing with the LED. only some polishes though. its almost like it bubbles. I talked to the rep at the beauty supply and she said to shack the crap out of the bottle and turn it upside down while soaking the previous color off and or curing the base coat. and use super thin coats. Some colors might even need 3 coats. it seems to be helping but a couple nails on my right hand had problems (i think its because I"m right handed and applied it to thick). Also I noticed that 5 of the LED bulbs are out in the center of my lamp. I got the lamp in october I think and am pretty sure the bulbs should last longer than 3 months. considering I do mostly acrylic and only work 2 days a week. I have yet to contact star nail to see about replacement bulbs.
Hope this helps

I show you got your lamp in August, please call the office and speak to Jennifer about the lights that are out. 800-762-6245
"shake the crap out of it" is really not going to give you a good mix of the gel polishes.
Traditional polishes have those little BB balls in there to help mix. Traditional polishes viscosity (thickness) is far thinner than any gel polish - so the BB's work in there. You are never going to get a good mix by shaking it IMHO
Just posted this yesterday on a thread on the forums:
I'm not convinced about those little shaker machines.. Havent tried one so I really cant say... my head says how is that scooping up whats on the bottom and mixing with whats on the top.. like mix meatloaf or cookies and not scraping the bottom to mix (the dry bread crumbs or flour) with the more liquid ingredients on the top. Does that make sense? Personally bottle or pot, I stick it with my stir stick (I have 2 different ones for sale in the SHOPPE) and stir stir stir, scrape, turn, fold, stir some more
The lamp has been tested with the OPI gelcolor and it should cure it properly
Let me know if you have any other questions..
