Sheri, sounds like you have all ready tried all the gel out with what light. Have you tried the OPI gel brush on polish, not axium, can they be cured by LED? So far, I like this thing, not so much the clients. With the UV light, I have 2, they don't really have to think about anything, just sit and cure. But with the LED light, they are moving in and out so quick. A couple have told me, they have to "work" too hard...HAHAHAH.
But with the Pedicure Gels, LOVE IT...........

Still trying to get the "movement" "groove" going with the nails............diana from indiana

Ok I'm prepared to be flamed here but I'll tell you what I do...

I know everyone tell you not to mix lights from one company to the next, however, I have been doing some research and I have found the Gelish lamp, the colour lock lamp, the end lamp and several others from wholesalers. The only difference is these lamps are not branded or private labeled yet. Oh and they are about 1/2 to 1/3 the price.

So I use the same 18w LED light for all led colors and the same 36w light light for all uv polishes. So far the only one I've used that won't cure in the led is shellac.

Also, when led first came out I bought a lamp not realizing there were different wattage, so the first light I bought was only 9 watts-totally useless.

I'm fairly sure that the harmony, cuccio, shellac and artistic lamps are made in China. If I'm wrong please correct me.

As far as the bulbs go, less should never need to be replaced. UV bulbs, I replace mine every 3-4 months. I but generic bulbs. I've paid more for the brand name bulbs and frankly, I can't tell any difference in the end result.

I also agree with Karen about the bottle vs. pot. I find the bottle to be less of a hassle and they are easier to remove.

By the way, my research yielded some very interesting results for gel polish as well.

Regards,
Sherri
