I have contacted AOL about not sending our newsletter out. I
explained that I signed up for the newsletter at Yahoo using my AOL
email address. It is a double opt in newsletter. This means when a
member signs up they have to verify by email if the member really
wants to be a member. They do this by clicking on a link sent out by
Yahoogroups. This verifies that the newsletter was requested by the member and
actually wanted by the member.

The support wants to go through all the garbage of the problem is with
our personal email at AOL.(which is not the case). The problem is AOL
is blocking many of the Yahoogroups email newsletter at their server
level and are not sending them out.

The error message that is being sent out at the Yahoo level is
Service Not Available.

If each one of us our AOL Members would call into
1-800-392-5180
and let them know we signed up for the newsletter and we expect to get
it. AOL has no right to choose if a newsletter is sent on to us when
we double opt in to the newsletter.

Do not let AOL say it is OUR AOL email. It is not. It is their the
AOL server not sending the newsletter on to us.

If each of our over 8,000 AOL members (from Recipe Exchange
Newsletter) would call in they might finally leave us alone. About
every 8-10 months they start blocking our newsletters Yahoogroups.
Until they get a number of calls the support staff does not see it as
a problem. When a large number call in it becomes a big problem and
it is resolved quickly.

I spoke to a supervisor named Ann. I have already opened a case
number (155120380). Demand that you have another case number opened
for you for this problem. The more tickets opened for this the more
chance they will send on the newsletter.

My hands are tied. I am not even getting the newsletter into my AOL
email account. A united stand by our members should get some action.

Nancy
