Creamy Crock Pot Corn
2 16-oz packages frozen corn
1 8-oz package cream cheese

1/3 cup butter or margarine, cubed
1/2 tsp garlic powder
1/2 tsp salt
1/4 tsp pepper

In crock pot, combine all ingredients. Cover and cook on low for 4 hours or until heated through and cheese is melted. Stir well before serving.

Pumpkin Bread
2 cups white sugar
1 cup oil (i use a scant cup)
3 eggs
2 cups pumpkin
3 cups flour
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 tsp baking powder
1 tsp baking soda
1 tsp cloves
1 tsp cinnamon
1 tsp nutmeg
pecans and golden raisins, as desired. (probably 1/2 cup each)

In a large bowl, stir together sugar, oil, eggs, and pumpkin. In a separate bowl, combine the dry ingredients. Stir into the pumpkin mixture. Add pecans and golden raisins if desired. Pour into 2 greased 9x5 loaf pans. Bake at 350 for one hour or until a skewer inserted into center of loaf comes out clean. Cool before slicing. May be wrapped in foil and frozen.

Sweet Cream Biscuits
4 C. sifted flour
1 tsp. salt
2 T. baking powder
1-1/2 C. heavy cream
4 T. water

Soft dry ingredients together. Stir in cream with a fork just until all flour is moistened; add water if necessary. Knead on lightly floured surface; about 10 times. Roll 3/4 inch thick; cut with floured cutter or glass. Bake on ungreased baking sheet in very hot oven (450 degrees) 12 minutes or until golden brown.
