I think I removed it as it might confuse users. Users might think that we offer the true property task syntax for these global properties, as we do support this now on the framework level (because we use an actual NAnt project there).
Also, you can no longer use any of these global properties to replace macro's in the framework nodes (as only the framework properties that are set using the framework projects can be used for that purpose) ... I know I also had to remove support for framework neutral properties, as we now use separate projects for each framework ... I'd be happy to move support for global properties back in though (I should indeed have discussed this first) ...
