p1. it remains to be seen whether IPv6 NAT deployments will be successful at trading off transparency and interoperability for the benefits we are only *supposing* they will provide.

p2. by itself, the deployment of IPv6 NAT is not a reason for IETF to *standardize* it. we are deploying IPv6 Simple Security today, and no one is arguing that it should be standardized.
