The girl that was supposed to arrive today did not. The social worker called
and said she ran away with another girl from the group home. The police are
looking for her. She is only 13...so please keep her in prayer. We are
starting to think we will never recieve any foster children! This is getting
to be quite the roller coaster. We had such high hopes. We got the call this
morning...but I've waited all night to tell you because I kept thinking
they'd find her. Seems running away is pretty common among foster kids these
days. I don't blame them for running away...but it is too bad they didn't
meet us first. I think they'd feel differently if they'd only met us.
It is so hard on them, I'm sure, being taken away from all they know and
placed in a foster home with virtual strangers. My heart goes out to them.
I just pray that no harm comes to the ones who are running. It is a scarey
world out there for young girls. It is all in Creators hands.

I'm sure you feel a touch of the sadness we felt when we recieved the call.
Not again! I feel discouraged and frustrated. I just have to believe what is
meant to be...will eventually be...and then all the waiting will vanish.
