We will then share the poetry with other folk, such as alt.native folk. For those of you who aren't on alt.native, if any of you exists, this Box of Crayons is a series of poems written by a group of poets who got to know each other in various places, but mostly on alt.native. One person starts, and then each person, in a precise order, writes another poem, responding to the poem written just before the one he or she writes. The poets are Indians, friends of Indians, indigenous folk from other lands, and Graeme Butler. This is to be, and to remain, non-racist and non-attack oriented -- and we will not tolerate personal attacks or racism. Because it is a private group, we don't have to tolerate anything we don't want to. Subject matter for poems is open. It could be about the weather; it could be about history; it could be about personal loss or gain. Do any of you want to join The Box of Crayons? I know we have a few poets here.
