The Shingle Springs Rancheria will be hosting their 8th annual Big Time, July 27 & 28. Opening ceremonies start Saturday morning at 10AM. Throughout the day there will be California Native American Dancers, children's activities, horseback riding, Handgames and cultural presenters. At noon will be an Elder's Luncheon with entertainment and in the evening there will be dinner, a drum group, bingo and storytelling around the fire.
Sunday continues with more California Dancers, childrens activities, a horseshoe tournament and the 3rd annual Men's Warrior games. We will be holding our 1st annual Women's Gathering games followed in the afternoon with a Youth motivational speaker. The Big Time ends with Aztec dancers and a closing ceremony. This is a drug and alcohol free event. The public is welcome. Free camping is available. The Shingle Springs Rancheria is located about 35 miles east of Sacramento off Hwy 50.
