everyone, han...guess i should tell you a little about myself..and i would appreciate knowing more about you all! I am Lakota/Irish...my Lakota heritage comes from my gg gramma, who was Sihasapa Lakota..which means Blackfoot...she was from the Cheyenne River Rez...i didnt grow up on the rez or in a traditional life...i am 57 yrs old now and just found my Indian relations 8 yrs ago...i still have lots of work to do on my family tree...i am originally from York, Pa...i came out here to colorado when i lost my job due to disabilities...i met david when he was visiting friends in Pa...we corresponded on the computer and fell in love...after a year of phone calls and one more visit from him, when i lost my job, i came out here...been here for four yrs now...david is Apache/Pueblo...we go to the indian center a lot here in denver, and volunteered in the kitchen for Head Start...we are very involved in Indian Issues...both locally and online...it took awhile for the Indian people here to accept me, but i fully understand that! now i am part of the "family" and i have never met a more loving and warm people! one of the gramma's put me on the right track to find my gg gramma...i had been looking in the Blackfeet Nation in Montana...i have very fair skin, and green eyes, but one gramma told me i have the Indian heart of my gg gramma...that made my day! i do dance at powwows, and had a lovely shawl given to me as a gift..i am learning to bead now, and finally got the knack of making dreamcatchers! I use willow branches and all natural materials such as sinew, feathers etc. when i get good enough at it, i will start making them for other people...i am going to learn to paint gourds next...so...thats about it...i love all animals of all kinds, and used to have horses...now i just have a brittany spaniel mix, and david has a cat that beats up the dog! lol! so...i would like to know all about all of you!
