A brief, "hit-a-few-points" bio here....am of Cherokee heritage on my father's side of the family tree....thankfully, it _does_ branch out LOL ggma and ggpa were full-blood....then it kinda trickled on down to me....stinky thing is, my cuz's in OK look like they've just stepped off the rez....gorgeous dark skin....brown-black hair....beautiful people....and then there's me..... the gene pool must've had too much chlorine in it when I was in the making.... As a Native sister told me-- "You look Indian in your face....I've seen your Spirit and it's obvious you're Red inside, but honey, on the outside, you're so.....so.....well, your just so blindingly _white_ skinned!!" LOL I've come to that point in Life, where I'm culling out all unnecessary "things" that clutter my mind, my Life....something about being in one's 40's that does that....and that includes my Spiritual Path..... Although I was raised in both the Christian and Native traditions, and although I still hold to _some_ of the pertinent points of Christian teaching, I---over the past decade---feel more "in tune with" and more comfortable with my father's spiritual teachings than anything else....so....that is what I follow now almost exclusively....I don't "hide" it, like I once did, when younger.....I'm too old and cranky now, to have some churchified person try to save me from going to hell for my Native upbringing and beliefs.... Yeah, I have lost some friends over that, but maybe they weren't such good friends after all, if they're going to abandon and gossip about how I've "turned to the devil" just because I no longer believe like they do....
