Thanks for posting this sentiment....that's exactly what has happened to many or our "family trees," which makes it difficult, if not impossible to trace lineage..... I'm having trouble right now, trying to find my famlial "source" so I can "prove" I AM of NA ancestry to those who poo-poo me because my "quantity" isn't that large and I don't "look" as "Indian" as they do..... As it is now, I associate with a "spirituality" group here, that is more "Euro-pagan" than anything else.....while the fellowship is good and I"m making wonderful friends, and i'm learning a lot about _their_ paths, I would prefer to study with like-minded / like-spirited folks who walk the Red Path.... There are a number of Cherokee brothers and sisters around this area, but they're pretty clannish and tight lipped about things, especially if one doesn't "look" like they do....so.....guess I'm on my own, on the Red Path....
