Barbie,

I going home this week-end, Oklahoma, but when I get back I will look through the Choctaw rolls and see if I can find the name.  It still will take me a couple of weeks to get through the entire list.

Subject: Re: [Native_American] Hiding one's heritage

I am hoping someone can give me some helpful info. My Gr.Gr. GrandFather was full-blood Cherokee and I have known this for quite some time. "Yes, Cherokee, Not Wannabee" as mentioned in an earlier posting......I am very honored and proud of my heritage. I have even been blessed to find the place where he was placed at the time he Crossed Over.
I have not had much good luck finding information about my Gr.Gr.GrandMother (his wife) up to this point. I do know that her family name was Inoky, but have no idea where she was born. I have been told that if I can find out what Nation/Tribe/Peoples this name is I would have better luck at finding out more about her and my family. Is there anyone here who knows anything about this name, Inoky??????
Thank you for permitting me to ask this question and to also tell of the "Honor" I feel for the blood that runs in my veins.
Sincerely, Barbie
