The Viet Nam Memorial wall came here on Thursday...
When I approached I found that someone had left 2 Hawk Feathers.
2 Eagle Feathers were added Thursday night, with
the guarantee that they will be put back on the wall every time it is displayed
from then on.
Friday morning the Hawk Feathers had been moved
from their original location (sitting on the ground). They are not tied to the
Eagle Feathers.
This morning, Sunday, a group of local Indian
People came together for an honoring War Dance. We received the cleansing
blessing of rain at the very beginning of the dance.
Anyone in the Lebanon, Tennessee area,
that is the next stop for the wall October 24-27. Please be sure to visit and
watch for the Feathers. Let me know if they are there.
For more information on the wall.. Please visit http://www.virtualwall.org and visit the
American Veterans Traveling Memorial at http://www.avtt.org
The avtt.org web page will soon have pictures from
its visit here in El Paso.
