Dear Friends, Relatives, & Colleagues of Bruce
Bruce is getting stronger every day. Last night a friend put their phone by
the TV and let Bruce listen to the CNBS (is this the same as MSNBC??)show
that had Pat Merzlak, Charlene Teters, the Erwin Principal, and an
unbelievable Armstrong Williams (Williams says the whole thing is a case of
people not having enough to do. He love playing cowboys and Indians and
wanted to be the Indian. No harm intended, no harm received!) Charlene &
Pat did a great job...though their segment was only 20 minutes with lots of
ads! But it got the issue out there once more.
The Lions Club International HQ has issued the following News Release
disassociating their organization from the activities of the local Erwin
Lions Club.....might be good to let them know we appreciate it
[EMAIL PROTECTED]
The local club proceeded, we learned, after being cautioned by the Lions
District officials....so the Club may be in for some discipline?? (You all
really swamped them with emails. Thanks a lot!)
Philadelphia Enquirer is in town doing a story so be on the look out for
it later this week.
Best to all, (Lions news release below signature...note it is
actually
Monroe Asheville, NC not Erwin, NC but we've
alerted them to that
