Most of you have most likely already received a warning through various lists
concerning the Melissa macro virus/worm. tomorrow morning when business opens
the virus is expected to spread through the internet like wildfire. This may
have some unexpected potential effects due to the sudden increase of net
traffic. Mail may be running several hours late..Some lists may not be
functioning at all, you may not receive all your mail depending upon the option
your ISP has chosen to protect itself and its mail server.
For those of you with filter options select the following to send any copies of
this virus to your trash:
subject: contains Important message from
and body contains: Here is that document you asked for . . . don't show anyone
else
If someone is infected ANY document sent via Microsoft could be infected and
the attachment have a different name than the one listed on the advisories.
Don't open attachments and you won't have to be concerned about becoming
infected. If your browser or mail program has an automatic opening for
attachments disable this feature..
