NAWA, which operates the only wolf preserve in Texas, is heavily involved in wolf rescue, preservation, and education. This workshop will feature half a day in a classroom setting, then half a day at the preserve, in the presence of wolves currently located there. Topics covered will include wolf diet and predation, history of the "wolf holocaust" of the early 1900's, current wolf reintroduction efforts, the dangers of the wolf hybrid/wolfdog trade, and case histories of rescues NAWA has carried out. This includes the most recent rescue of the largest pack in captivity of nine Northern Gray Wolves. Cost for the entire day is $125.00, and you must RSVP by the !3th of May.
