Bah... I just installed the 8.4.6 and see: the same behaviour. Which is what I did expect. Yet, I can't explain why Stephen is getting no leaks with 8.4.6. Stephen, can you please try again, but be sure you're using the 8.4.6 lib. In my setup, everything from 8.4.6 to 8.4.9 leaks on all platforms we have/use: Sun, Linux, MacOSX. I hate to do this job really. I'm sick of fishing this memory-related stuff over and over again. This is killing us. Grr... (The Desperate) Zoran
