Not exactly :)
The demo vehicule is useful if you don't have a gps receiver, or if you
don't move and want to try the routing/guidance anyway.
Demo vehicule will simulate following the computed route.

Theses points are defined in the map, but they are not attached to a
category known by navit.
They might be worth a bug report.
