a)In navit.xml for vehicle name=Car, and vehicle name=Demo, the only difference is that, for Demo, the vehicle moves and for Car, the vehicle does not move.Both these take the same routing.Can anyone let me know if I have understood correctly?
The demo vehicule is useful if you don't have a gps receiver, or if you don't move and want to try the routing/guidance anyway.
Demo vehicule will simulate following the computed route.
What parameters?
b)Are other parameters for vehicle name-bike,pedestrian,horse functional? I tried setting point A as position and point B as destination. For each of these three parameters, I found no difference in routing.
What do you call longer? 1-2s, or 1 minute?I mean when i enable bike or pedestrian or horse under vehicle name in navit.xml and set some point A as position and some point B as destination,I find that in each case (bike,pedestrian,horse) there is no difference is routing from point A to point B.So I was just wondering if it still has to be developed.
c)When I click Main menu->Actions->Map point->POIs, it takes a little longer to go to the next screen compared to the other buttons. Why is it so?
Theses points are defined in the map, but they are not attached to a category known by navit.Normally for every button, the next screen comes up in 1 second. Only for Main menu->Actions->Map point->POIs, it takes me 12 seconds to go to the next screen.Why is it so?
d)When I click Main menu->Actions->Map point->POIs,it shows a screen with icons for parking,restaurants,etc followed by a list of points like 0 NE poi_restroom,0 S point_unkn etc..What do these points signify?
Where can I report this bug?
What is the functionality of Main menu-> Settings->Maps->Tracking?
They might be worth a bug report.
