Hi, after selecting a destination, if routing is possible then the route should
show up as a blue line after a few seconds. how long depends on how long the
route is, and how fast the cpu is.
What I use to test navit is an application called gpsfake. This allows you to
playback a recorded NMEA track, and feed it into navit, just like a real gps
device.
Cheers, Ian

Subject: [Navit-users] Route computation without GPS

Hello there,
I have used yesterday's snv version to build navit on Ubuntu LL, right now
running without a GPS device. I could install maps, set the current position
and the target using the "internal" GUI. But I see no way to start the
computation of the route. Isn't it supposed to start immediately?
What critical information have I missed to do this?
How can I test the speech interface?
Thank you
Ulf
