Regatta Highlights in Haiku
Wind on Mystic Lake
It went from North to the East
Eighteen to five knots
Capsizes were a few
The jib sheets did not release
Always the crew’s fault
Marks litter the Lake
Race Committee chose just three
It seemed obvious
A course five was planned
All follow first around some mark
The leader was wrong
Twelve solid races competed
Much planning was had on course five
One course four was raced
Freshmen also learned
How to swap on the water
Selfishness worked best
True battle of wits
Day finished with team racing
Fun but did not count
