Most important is for NEISA schools to go over their commitments very carefully. Yes, you could drop just before the two week deadline to avoid scheduling penalties but that is not a good thing. Drop now all the regattas you dropped last year during the two seasons. That way alternates can move into a secured spot and budget accordingly. It is very difficult for alternates to add once the season has started since resources (transportation, housing bodies and cash) need to be budgeted and allocated well in advance. Danielle: please check berth allotments in all inter-conference events. Justin: please check your notes against this master. Brian: Please check for proper labeling of performance rank events. Trophy holders: please count the years the event has been held so the schedule can reflect that historic note. For example: 12th Bob Bavier Team Racing Invitational but what about: Wenner, Women @ So. How about brief race management tips, including: basic NEISA regatta guidelines, how to set starts and gates, how to incorporate fun reach legs, how to use a port-line boat. Deadlines: The final changes must be made by December 31. Bulletin goes to the publisher January 2. Copies distributed by snail mail in mid-January with two copies to each school, three for host schools to keep on hand at home regattas.
