There is already a 1.3 OSX release so maybe not needed right now.
uh... I think it is needed. The OSX version did *not* compile... out of the box. In fact the make file wasnt even set with MACOSX (or whatever the variable is) = 1. And particularly if there is some cleaner way of dealing with boehm, which I couldnt get to compile without darwinports (which puts the files in a different place than neko expects them) then that would be great too. I just think getting installers to be exactly right is really important. leaving the last little bit of the install as an "exercise for the reader" is not newbie friendly.
