All Horoscopes: http://web1.nypost.com/cgi-bin/horoscope.pl
ARIES
You are an Aries. You are supposed to be bold, brave and adventurous. So what
happened? Maybe it is the sun's transit of one of the more sensitive areas of your
chart, but for some reason you are a bit too hesitant lately, a bit too reluctant to
take the plunge. That's a shame because there are a lot of interesting opportunities
heading your way.
1-900-990-7810*
TAURUS
You will have to be firm with a partner or colleague today, but you must also let him
know that if he follows your lead, you will see to it he gets hisfair share of the
glory. Let others know where they stand and let them know, too, that if they stand by
you at all times, you will always take care of them.
1-900-990-7811*
GEMINI
Today's excellent sun-Uranus alignment urges you to try something new. On the work
front, especially, you seem to be in a bit of a slump and things won't pick up until
you admit that the old way of doing things may not be so good after all. You are
supposed to be an ideas person, so think of new ways to boost your productivity.
1-900-990-7812*
CANCER
You will act on impulse today, which is not like you at all. A positive link-up
between the sun and Uranus across your fellow water signs of Scorpio and Pisces means
you won't hesitate to strike out in a new direction or try your hand at new
activities. You have played safe for long enough. Life is too short not to take a few
chances.
1-900-990-7813*
LEO
You may be taken aback by how quickly some people adapt to changing events, but you
are not the only one who is on the ball. Neither are you the only one with good ideas,
so listen to what friends and family members have to tell you today and, if their
advice sounds good, act on it immediately. Don't let your ego get in the way.
1-900-990-7814*
VIRGO
You like to take your time and mull things over before making a decision, but if you
do that today, you will miss out on a glorious opportunity. The first idea that comes
into your head is the idea you must follow, no matter how silly it might seem to begin
with. Trust your instincts - they won't let you down.
1-900-990-7815*
LIBRA
If there is a habit that you wish to overcome, or a routine that you wish to change,
now is the time to get serious about it. Today's sun-Uranus aspect will give you the
impetus you need, if not to transform your life, at least to change those areas where
you are not entirely happy with your performance. Don't leave things as they are any
longer.
1-900-990-7816*
SCORPIO
Sometimes you can be a bit too hesitant for your own good, and if you don't get your
act together today, you will spend the rest of the week kicking yourself for being so
dumb. With the sun in your birth sign perfectly aligned to Uranus, planet of the
unexpected, you must be on the ball and you must look at change as your friend.
1-900-990-7817*
SAGITTARIUS
Others may be afraid to face the future, but you are made of sterner stuff. You are
also the kind of person who, if the future you see is not to your liking, will go out
of your way to change it. Despite what some people might say, your fate is not set in
stone and what happens today will remind you of that fact.
1-900-990-7818*
CAPRICORN
It is not enough to have faith in your abilities and it is not enough to want to
succeed. You also need to get your timing right, and the planets indicate that the
right time for making your mark on the world is now! Don't wait to be asked to show
what you can do - barge your way to the front and wow the crowd with your moves.
1-900-990-7819*
AQUARIUS
It will be tempting to neglect certain responsibilities today, especially those that
don't seem to be that important - tempting, but wrong. Others are watching you closely
and if you cut corners or leave a job unfinished, it won't do your reputation a whole
lot of good. Make the effort - the rewards will one day be worth it.
1-900-990-7808*
PISCES
These may be tough times for some, but for you it is one of the best times of the
year, so much so that you are prepared to take almost any risk in your quest for new
and exciting experiences. If you have been thinking of taking a trip, make it to
somewhere exotic, somewhere you have never been before and might never go again.

RULING THEIR ROOST: http://www.nypost.com/sports/31092.htm
By GEORGE KING
ST. LOUIS Since the 100th World Series swapped Samuel Adams for Budweiser at the
taps by leaving New England for the banks of the Mississippi, the responsibility for
placing the iced keg of beer behind second base tonight for Game 3 at Busch Stadium
falls to the Cardinals.Baseball gets off on promoting its showcase event as "The Fall
Classic." Yet, two games into the best-of-seven affair the Red Sox lead, 2-0, the play
has looked more like what a bunch of beer boilers produce at the company picnic
softball game.

HISTORY LESSENS FOR BIRDS: http://www.nypost.com/sports/31096.htm
ST. LOUIS It can't be this easy. That would be the biggest
disservice of all. The more rabid members of Red Sox Nation understood perfectly well
that if the Sox were ever going to break the historic stranglehold that has kept the
franchise title-free since 1918, it was going to come with a minimum of sleep and a
maximum of stress.

YANKEES INSPIRED SOX RUN: http://www.nypost.com/sports/31088.htm
ST. LOUIS The Yan kees wanted to build a championship team
this year. They did. In Boston. The Red Sox have become baseball's version of the
Patriots, the NFL winning machine that churned through the Jets on Sunday for their
21st consecutive victory.

His Jet has mechanical problems, and somebody had better fix them fast.

TRUTH CAN REALLY HURT: http://www.nypost.com/sports/31085.htm
NOBODY'S asking Doug Collins, or other NBA (sports) analysts, to make a living
looking into closed closets or accentuating negative aspects of a player's game or a
coach's game plan.

A 'JOY' TO BEHOLD: http://www.nypost.com/sports/31073.htm
GRAND PRAIRIE, Tex. One of the shortest price betting favorites in the
Breeders' Cup Saturday will be an American horse going a mile and a half on the grass

BATTMAN: DAD, DAD WORLD: http://www.nypost.com/sports/battman.htm
Battman won with the Bengals last night to put the bankroll at 1,785 culbersons.
Tonight, the Red Sox can't become the second team to blow a 3-0 lead unless they win
this one - 10 units on Papa Pedro.

VITALI, WILLIAMS TALKIN' TITLE: http://www.nypost.com/sports/31083.htm
 By GEORGE WILLIS
Is Danny Williams a one-hit wonder? Is Vitali Klitschko the best of the

 By ED FOUNTAINE
GRAND PRAIRIE, Tex. The Breeders' Cup workout spotlight yesterday was focused on
Juvenile candidate Afleet Alex, who had the clockers nodding in approval as he zipped
five furlongs in :58.2 at Lone Star Park. Anyone who watched the work was shocked when
they heard the time. Afleet Alex, under no urging from exercise rider Sam Cabrera,
didn't look as if he was going that fast.

HERE WE GO AGAIN: http://www.nypost.com/sports/31079.htm
 By ED FOUNTAINE
GRAND PRAIRIE, Tex. Is America ready for Smarty Jones II? We've heard this
Cinderella story before: A brilliant colt with an obscure pedigree, and a trainer and
jockey who are top-notch at their mid-Atlantic racetrack but little-known outside of
it, overcomes adversity as a youngster, then rises from obscurity to become a
superstar.

OUIJA BOARD LEANS TO FILLY & MARE: http://www.nypost.com/sports/31078.htm

the English daily Sporting Life.

GM: CURT CAN PITCH IN GAME 6: http://www.nypost.com/sports/31097.htm
 By GEORGE KING

available for Game 6 if the World Series goes that far calling Dr. Bill Morgan's
quotes Sunday night that Schilling's right ankle may not let him pitch for the rest
Series a case of miscommunication.

three-time Cy Young Award winner this postseason?

Starting out calm and growing increasingly exasperated, Tom Coughlin
yesterday grew agitated and animated as he defended his short-yardage usage of Ron
Dayne and continued to harp on the lack-of-preparation theme that dominated his
postgame remarks following a 28-13 loss to the Lions Sunday.

WARNER PINS LOSS ON PICK: http://www.nypost.com/sports/giants/31090.htm
  By PAUL SCHWARTZ
No one player is responsible for winning or losing, but Kurt Warner yesterday
boiled down the 28-13 loss to the Lions to one play he'd love to have back.

TIKI CAN'T DO IT ALL: http://www.nypost.com/sports/giants/31072.htm
  By PAUL SCHWARTZ
QUARTERBACKS The mantra has been the same all season:
avoid the big mistake. Kurt Warner (23 of 34, 270 yards, 1 TD, 1 INT, three fumbles)
didn't do that, lofting, in stead of drilling, a terrible pass in end zone picked off
by CB Chris Cash.

KENDALL RELISHES BIG-GAME SCENE: http://www.nypost.com/sports/jets/31074.htm

All was not lost in Sunday's 13-7 Jets' loss to the Patriots. Jets
left guard Pete Kendall, who's spent most of his eight-year career playing on losing
teams in Seattle and Arizona before coming to the Jets earlier this season, reveled in
the big-game atmosphere the Jets faced in New England.

                         QUARTERBACKS Chad Pennington
(19-of-30, 162 yards, 77.4 rating, one rushing TD) didn't have the magic this time.

PENNY'S READY TO FIRE AWAY: http://www.nypost.com/sports/knicks/31080.htm
  By EVAN GROSSMAN
Barring a major surprise before the Knicks' regular season tips off next
week, it's likely Allan Houston will not be healthy enough to play. You know that
Jamal Crawford will play the most of Houston's minutes at shooting guard, but
somewhere on the roster, coach Lenny Wilkens is going to have to find someone who can
shoot from the perimeter like No. 20 can.

NETS MUST ADJUST THEIR 'D': http://www.nypost.com/sports/nets/31076.htm
  By BRIAN LEWIS
Despite their transition game, the Nets were always at heart a defensive

LIZZIE Grubman a TV star? Public re lations people are taking over the world.
Enough that celebs no longer cry, laugh, speak, cough or pee unless their p.r. guru
gives the OK, but now publicity-types, who once worked strictly behind the scenes, are
in front of the cameras. Lizzie, who used to do p.r. for VIPs, is becoming the VIP
herself. Her own show. She nailed a half-hour reality thing on MTV with a "go" for six
episodes. Against an NYC backdrop, her program will follow her on her rounds, plus
they'll interview her young assistants who are just starting out, plus the journalists
these creatures supposedly feed. Lizzie Grubman, TV star, will be on in March.

VIEW OF 'DEMOCRACY'
By Liz Smith
'I WANT to take you and your mom together!" said the late photographer Richard
Avedon to Spc. Gabriel Garriga at the Brooke Army Medical Center's famed Army Burn
center in San Antonio. This was after Avedon had been told that the badly burned
Garriga, age 20, had been lovingly nursed by his mother, Gisele, during the whole time
he had undergone 28 grueling skin grafts.
