Following on this experience, I am engaging another team (this time
analysts only) and taking them through a tranformation experiment
which aims at reproducing the same kind of outcomes described in the
presentation.
This transformation will start on the 14th this month, with an XP Game
session: this will implement the agile glossary and the heart beat
notions.
Then in January, I will coach the team through a set of projects for
their analysis >> I intend to record and document/format all my
findings. Some of the themes I will particularly focus on are:
- how far I can push the use of XP values and practices to this type
of team
- what are the counterpart practices in the XA world to XP's TDD,
Pairing, refactoring, continuous integration, ...
- are there any project types that are incompatible with the approach
- programme office response to systematic value/effort ratio planning
- programme office response to rapid feed back mechanisms and how XA
can *push* them to be more agile as well.
- impact on time to value for the business for any given project using
XA + XP
- impact on teams for projects using XA + XP.
