New Rules Issued for National Forests
The Bush administration issued comprehensive new rules Wednesday for managing the national forests, jettisoning some environmental protections that date to Ronald Reagan's administration and putting in place the biggest change in forest-use policies in nearly three decades.

Senate Realigns Intelligence Procedures
In the next Congress, the Senate Select Committee on Intelligence will have two fewer members but a much larger staff. Each of the 15 senators on the panel will be entitled to choose a new staff member.
