A friend with a 1984? 350 chev powered 23' Lindy says he gets a low 5-
6mpg and his highest at 9mpg. He has had a lot of trouble with
exhaust manifolds breaking and exhaust gaskets. The transmission has
been rebuilt and the differential has been replaced as well as a
broken axle. He is afraid to drive it. Every time he goes out
something breaks. The last thing was the starter going out over
Mt.Hood, starter gear went into the flywheel for some strange reason.
On the other hand our 7.3 Ford diesel has not been trouble free
either.
