Hi all:
I had very bad stains all over the hulls of my F-27, largely from pine needles
collected all over the craft in addition to scum marks above the waterline. I
used an acid-based product called "On & Off". It worked real well. I got a
gallon from my local "Compass Rose" marine supplier. You just wipe it on
(make sure your eyes and skin are protected). Let it sit for several minutes.
You can smell the acid going to work on the gelcoat and then hose it off.
I will use it again in the spring once I have the entire hull blocked up. Also
does a very good job removing old anti-foul paint.
