Let's try a very simple experiment. I'm going to
send this version with my default setting of plain
text, then I'm going to reply a second time with
the same thing and send it with my default set to
HTML.

Left margin
   3 spaces
      6 spaces
         9 spaces
(note - tab doesn't work - it selects the next box)
