And to raft-up in international waters along the equator it is gonna
take some REALLY long anchor chains. How about a minimum of 5000' or

An old sailboat dude who lived aboard for years and delivered large
sailboats. Last one was a Vagabond 42'. Know something about off-shore
heavy weather near the equator.
Group related info: there are a lot of folks who boondock in sailboats.
Only difference is they is on the water. No rent, electric, water,
except for juice and water they produce aboard.
