UA SPORTS & COLLEGE FOOTBALL http://wildcats.azstarnet.com and http://www.pac10fanatic.com 2004 was the year that confirmed to many (especially those in the Pac-10) that the BCS is not the answer when it comes to filling the bowls and choosing football's champion. The Pac-10 champ, USC, will play for the NCAA championship in the Orange Bowl - on the fourth of January; the next best team in the conference, Cal, plays tonight in the Holiday Bowl; ASU, after losing at Arizona, just kept driving down I-10 and ended up in El Paso, where the Sun Devils play in tomorrow's Sun Bowl. The once highly anticipated Big 10-Pac-10 Rose Bowl showdown features Michigan vs. Texas. Confused? Frustrated? Don't try to figure it out. Just come to StarNet Sports and pac10fanatic.com for all the best coverage of this year's bowl games. Meanwhile, the Arizona men's basketball team plays Richmond tonight for the Fiesta Bowl Classic championship. Get Star coverage of that game and the Butler-Eastern Washington consolation game on StarNet's UA Sports page. Also, read about the Wildcats' upcoming game against Arizona State, which is out to prove it is as good as its gaudy 11-1 record. Good luck with that, Sun Devils.
