Ian Farrier has described Frontrunner fabric as a high quality, not
inexpensive material that he chose for use from day one at Corsair.
Furthermore, he has made a good case that it is an ideal way to finish the
interior of these boats. Compared to paint or other lining materials its
virtues include lightest weight and thermal and acoustic insulation. When it
gets moldy, folks complain about it. But a painted surface would have become
moldy under the same conditions, and might look worse then.
