I used to be able to run 1024x768 w/ full-screen vmware, that's what I'm
trying to get back. My LCD only handles 1024x768/800x600/640x480 - but the
only 'native' resolution is 1024x768, the others are either stretched or
don't take up the entire screen.

I've tried 15-bit as well as 16-bit color, thinking that might make a
difference, but it did not.
