IMO, that Panaplexes for $30 each is a big investment too. They are way nicer than my IV-4s, tho :) > So what would be a suitable project for either Michail's exorbitant > stash of lingering bottles or my pathetic attempt to light up 16 > characters in neon in a meaningful way? > > Get those brains working please, I know you can, > > John S OK, John. If you also are into sensors, what about a range meter that shoots a "You are at XX meters form me, and came at XX m/sec". Now if you can add a camera and some software, what would be really surprising would be some kind of "Nice red attire you have today". This last perhaps could be done with only three sensors with red / green / blue filters and average readings. You use the range meter and the display to bait the victim to be in the right distance for the sensors to be reasonably color accurate. "Hi... please come nearer", "A little more" "more" "That's it" "Nice green vest" "Ugly blue trousers". Other surprising thing with sensors, this one easier, could be bait the people (again) to come nearer, and when in the focus of several strong lamps, fully illuminate them and shoot a "Klaatu barada nikto" kind of sentence. Beepers and a "duck under the table" kind of sentences can do a nice job too. Is this challenging enough? I got a fever out of thinking :) Gaston -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "neonixie-l" group. To post to this group, send an email to [email protected].
