Basically, I gathered date codes from hundreds of ETL and Hivac dekatrons, put the codes togther with lots of other data and came up with some hypotheses for how the date coding works. Aided and abetted by several luminaries of this group who were kind enough to share info from their dekatron collections, it must be noted. I'm assuming that ETL used the same system on all their tubes, but that's a fair bet. Jens, if you contact me off-list with your snail mail address, I'll send you a copy of the relevant issue of Tube Collector. I got given some duplicates, and am more than happy to send them out to spread the word about the TCA.
