Speaking of rare or otherwise hard-to-recognize Nixies, by pure luck, I was able to obtain a full set of six F9020's (from someone who I think might subscribe to this list, but I'm not certain) and am well under way with the creation of a very nice clock/date unit. Does anyone on the group have any specific experience with this tube? So far, I have found them to easily energize with 170v at 12mA. The greatest challenge that I see will be simply protecting them, as they are large -- massive, in fact. Not as big as the famous Rodan tubes, but certainly larger than just about anything else out there, including B-7971's. I'll send a photo or two in a bit.
