Japanese nixie tubes belong to the most beautiful nixies ever build.
I have several tens of Rodan/Okaya side view CD66 (13mm digit), GR112 (10mm
digit) tubes with their very fine and discrete horizontal mesh as anode:

As top view tube there is the beautiful round Rodan/Okaya CD13a (7.8mm
digit), comparable to the Burroughs B4998 and/or the National NL7977 (which
I own too but no pictures).

It took me years to find a batch (of minimum six) of these nixies,
