If you're not adverse to hand wiring your own circuits, you can always reproduce one of my clocks. There are both schematic drawings (hand drawn with a pencil) and the HEX code for a AVR mega8 uC. The clock is only 4 digits (hh:mm) but it also drives a dekatron.
