I do it the old-fashioned way - dangerous, flammable solvents... Seriously. I use MG 413B and hog bristle brushes, and give the board a good scrubbing. Then I go over it with a lint-free wipe sprayed with more 413B. Note that 413B will dissolve many plastics as well as completely removing any markings made with a Sharpie marker. 4140 is a little less agressive and is marketed as "plastic safe". You can get the hog bristle brushes at a local auto parts store, often for less than the cost from the electronic stores. If you're doing surface-mount work, make sure your parts have all pins soldered - the brush and especially the lint-free wipe will snag on any un-soldered pins and bend them, possibly beyond repair. -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "neonixie-l" group.
