Hi, I stumbled across "cathode equalizing resistors" in the GR10G datasheet (http://www.jb-electronics.de/html/elektronik/nixies/ n_gr10g.htm?lang=en). They say 8k2 and 4k7 resistors are required to account for the smaller size of "1" and "7".
Have you seen equalizing resistors mentioned for other tubes than the GR10G? Although I have never read about those in other datasheets or web sites about nixies, to me equalizing resistors sound like a very good idea. I guess they will increase tube live and I think I will add them in case I ever build driver boards for my CD47s or Z5680Ms. Regards Markus PS: A few months ago I received a GR10G where the "1" is broken.
