I am not aware of the history, usage or storage conditions of these tubes,
but picture two makes me worry.
If you look in picture two the leads show signs of iron oxides, rust.
Dekatron picked up on this.
As you know Dumet glass-to-metal seals have an iron-based core, surrounded
by copper. It seems the outer copper has been stripped off (many
insertions?, bad storage?). With the copper removed the rust propagates up
into the tube and usually causes a leak. Many nixie tubes, even new ones
experience that; they look fine but they don't work. I mean, have a look at
Jens Boos page (linked in the auction) to see how good pins look like.

The poster of the auction knows about NOS, knows what the original package
is and that they are rare.

That combined with the 'as is' and 'not returnable' settings of the auction
are suspicious and make me very worried.

Regards,
Alex
