It'd be *FAR* neater to program a tinyAVR or small PIC etc. to take the Haicom/whatever NMEA sentences and massage it into a form that can be used by the clocks - this would cost peanuts, would mean no changes to the puck or clock and could be resold to the owner of every affected clock as a completely painless upgrade.
