By "reconditioned", do you mean counterfeit? Why would the markings be different? I could see if they were from an older batch... salvaged parts.
I got burned one time at work on counterfeit parts, bad op-amps from Burr-Brown. Except not really, fake parts made in China. Why would they counterfeit a 60 cent part? Because they can make 55 cents on it and sell them by the millions. In most applications it would never have been caught. But it was in mine, and caused quite a ripple back up the supply chain.
