Interesting VFD project Hannah, I am sure you will find yourself at home here 
and plenty of good advice should you need it.

If you have a problem with sourcing obsolete LM9022 filament driver ICs, you 
can use an LM4871 - someone here proved it is the same die, just rebadged.
