I like it.

Are you providing the source code / gerber files, etc?

If so, I am interested in the IR version.

DUSTOFF IOT Board with IR Reciever

Hi folks,

I just finished the design for a seven-tube (unorthodox I know) 7971 board I
built 3/4 for fun, 1/4 for work. I elected to use seven tubes for two reasons -
six digits for time and a seventh digit to denote either local (L) or GMT (Z)
time, and to display MEDEVAC/DUSTOFF on the "home" screen. I currently have it
pulling TAF and METAR weather data off the NWS, but as it uses an ESP8266, it
can more or less do anything that the internet can provide. It has an IR
receiver for remote actuation.

Two questions:

1.) Would anyone be interested in purchasing a fully assembled board (no tubes
of course) for $300.00? I am not trying to make a profit, only trying to recoup
the assembly and prototype costs. I have four to provide. I also have four
fully-assembled boards without the IR receiver capability that I would sell for
$250.00. I will include the standoffs with purchase and pay for shipping for
either option. Will ensure the shipping appropriately protects the board. Shoot
me a message if interested. I don't intend on producing any more than I
currently have.

2.) Any general additions you think might be neat?

Attached are some photos. I don't have a seventh 7971 yet, so that's why you
only see six tubes in operation there.

Developing this was tons of fun. Thanks to ShadowTron Blog whose excellent
YouTube video series on a 7971 board helped me develop my own custom board.

* if this was posted before, apologies, I received a mail delivery subsystem
message alerting me my original post was too large*
