Ike,
Well I came across and aquired some large analog VU meters for Neotek
Elite(I think,). The driver boards identified them as Neotek. I have a 2
year old Elan II 32 channel console that I am very happy with BUT, when I
ordered it, I was referencing the picture supplied on the Sytek website and
assumed(uh oh)that the model shown, with VUs, was a basic feature on the
master section but alas it is not. When it arrived as ordered, no VU
redundent Master meters as I had figured it would be. So, since I got the
bomb deal on a whole slew of meters, I figured I would install them on the
master buss and possibly channels 25-32 returns as they have no metering.
I've used VUs very often in my past setups and old habits die hard I guess.
The Elan II has 3 master buss outs so I figured it would be easy to set that
up as I am only using one output to my Lynx I/O card on the computer for the
2 track masters. What do you think?

Hi Dan,
It's 35 volts DC, unregulated. It is a separate power supply
section, dedicated to the current demands of the LED's in the led
meters. I'm not near my PS-3 right now, but I believe the status LED for
that voltage actually says "Meter" on the front panel. This has nothing
to do with, nor should it, with the +/-18 volt power supply rails, which
is for the audio circuitry in your console.
What's cooking, anyway?
best,
Ike
