Turns out I needed to use an account that can get beyond the firewall -- makes sense.
Now, though, after updating the plugins (the script ran) the client doesn't show any more plugins -- still at 996 and I can't seem to locate the new ones. Am I still missing something?
Thanks!

I've gotten that error before. Turns out the problem was that I didn't
have web access on the server I was trying to update (it's firewalled).
Make sure that you can get through to the internet (port 80) on the server.
If you can't, then that's your problem. If you can, then I can't help. :

When I try to update my plugins (nessus-update-plugins) I get the message:
gzip: stdin: unexpected end of file
cp: cannot stat '*.nasl': no such file or directory
cp: cannot stat '*.inc': no such file or directory
Is there a file I'm supposed to download first, before I run the update?
Thanks -- hope this isn't a stupid questikon.
