I think this was brought up not too long ago, but I was unable to find it in the archives. So...
I just installed Nessus 1.2.3 on SuSE 8.0. After getting everything configured, users added, etc., I tried running a batch mode scan to test it. It seemed to connect to the server (localhost) just fine, gave me the warning message about dangerous plugins being disabled, then immediately exited and wrote the report file. I looked the report file and it said no hosts scanned. I tried this a few more times, same thing. So, I tried scanning using the GUI client. Loaded it, connected to the server, selected the plugins, entered that target, clicked Start Scan - and immediately got a results window with no hosts listed. Any ideas what's going on? I tried both specifying a single host and having it read from a file with several hosts defined. Thanks. -- Jared Breland Information Security Intern [EMAIL PROTECTED]
