Call me an unrealistic optimist (hey, I don't have to write code) but I'd
love to see nessusd running under Cygwin. From a Nessus.org point of view,
this might reduce the "pain of entry" to the unix world that turns some
people off from using Nessus. For example, if you could port it, and
figure out a reasonably decent way of installing it on Wintel (possibly a
custom install script that installs Cygwin, plus required libraries, plus
nessusd and client) I think it would open up nessus to a whole world of
people who can only deal with Wintel. Sure, its not graceful necessarily,
but it would probably increase nessus usage overall.

I can't code my way out of a wet paper bag, but I would offer to write the
howto and maybe throw together some scripts to tie the pieces together.
